Conservatory Solar Blinds
The most popular and cheapest way to extend a home is to add a conservatory. However, many people are unprepared for how hot a conservatory can become in the summer. it is not surprising given the amount of glass used to build a conservatory. In order to maintain a more constant and comfortable temperature, an effecient way of reflecting the sun’s heat is needed. Great advances have been made in the reflective qualities of the frabic used to make conservatory blinds.
An example of this is the frabic Solar R, which is the best performing material currently available. According to Appeal Blinds who produce such blinds the material can reflect 85% of the sun’s energy. However, it will still allow enough light in to maintain a healthy environment for plants, while eradicating glare. In addition it is very easy to keep clean.
Solar Hot Water Panels are not suitable for conservatories roofs – at least not yet.
