Conservatory Roof Blinds
It’s not just the windows that need shading for conservatories, but obviously and more importantly the roof! There are a few things to consider for conservatory roof blinds, such as the style of blind, the material, the colour and design and lastly the price.
Roof blinds are very important to provide a pleasant environment by keeping out the suns glare and making it much easier to maintain a regulated environment. That is, not too hot, not too cold, not too bright and not too dull.
One important way of providing this environment is by using a reflective material to control the heat and light allowed and hence maintain the ideal temperature and shade. These blinds can be made to reflect solar heat and keep out the sun’s heat in the summer, but also keep in the heat in the winter and give you another piece of ammunition in the fight against rising fuel costs.
The style of blinds are basically roller blinds, pleated blinds, wood weave blinds. Roller blinds over a simple solution and are easy to integrate into the conservatory. You want roof blinds that are unobtrusive yet effective and roller blinds do provide this. They can be made to look like part of the structure rather than an ill conceived decoration. However, one huge draw for roller blinds is that many conservatories have angled windows which make roller blinds unsuitable. In this instance pleated blinds are a good solution, as they are easier to tailor to fit awkward shaped windows.
