Conservatory Roller Blinds
Conservatories are often spoiled by the extremes of temperature that can occur in the depths of winter and the height of summer. Also, bright light can damage furniture and ruin your favourite plants. Conversely you do not want to obscure the views of your garden by covering up all the windows. Roller blinds make for a great solution here. Easily installed and at the lower end of the budget range, roller blinds come in either standard sizes or made to measure. Alternatively you can easily adjust them yourself and manufacturers usually provide instructions on how to do this. Roller blinds are typically made from synthetic material which is durable and easily cleaned. Also, you can get reflective material to help keep the conservatory cool in summer.
Conservatory blinds can be a huge expense, but roller blinds can ease the pain a little as they are possibly one of the cheaper blinds. There is a huge choice of colour and of course you can get them ready made or made to measure. Obviously ready made are a lot cheaper and if you are creative you may be able to combine ready made blinds with made to measure provided you can get both in the same design and material.
Roller blinds are the easiest type of window blinds to fit yourself and all you need is a drill and screwdriver. The roller blind sits simply between two brackets that are fixed to the inside or outside of the window recess.
Remember that roller blinds are not the same as roll-up blinds, with are typical woven materials that roll-up from the bottom as opposed to roller blinds which roll-up at the top.

Great practical info information in this blog regarding roller blinds for use in a conservatory. These blinds are hung in my conservatory and they work well as a window treatment. When fitting them over a door I found it useful to fit the blinds above the door so that if the doors are opened in the summer, the blinds can be rolled up out of the way.
