Conservatory Pinoleum Blinds

Pinoleum blinds are probably the most traditional style of conservatory blind. Pinoleum is the name given to strips of thin wood which are woven together in different patterns. Pinoleum blinds come in Roman or roll-up style. A great quality to pinoleum blinds is that they let in a diffused light through the small gaps between the strips of wood. This gives them a great aesthetic quality. However, the payback for this is that you cannot really great the kind of efficiency that synthetic blinds give when it comes to reflecting heat and maintaining a more stable temperature in your conservatory. However, the natural beauty from using wood blinds does compensate for this and if extremes of temperature and light are not such a big concern the pinoleum are always an attractive addition to your conservatory.

It is possible to fix a reflective material to the back of a pinoleum blind, but you will lose some of the subtle light provided by the wooden blinds.

The Pinoleum remains the traditional style of conservatory blind although it has been taken over in popularity in recent times by the pleated blinds which can over more functionality despite the compromised finish.
